In 2022, Saskatchewan’s Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies forged a novel approach to mentoring across the province.
Embedded in our communities, each Big Brothers Big Sisters agency is unique and recognizes that in-person support, programs, and services for youth in their schools and near where they live is critical.
However, we recognize that we can better leverage our provincial expertise and resources while building on these local agency efforts.
To that end, the four primary agencies in Saskatchewan formalized our collaboration through the development of a five-year strategic action plan (link to .pdf) to better serve the needs of all Saskatchewan youth.
As experts in youth mentoring in the province, Big Brothers Big Sisters Agencies of Saskatchewan is committed to making Saskatchewan a better place for all through actions related to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Calls to Action and the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirited+ Calls
for Justice.
We know that by sharing resources, ideas and piloting new programs together, our provincial collaboration can have a multiplier effect.
Your generous support will help accelerate and amplify our goals, realizing our vision of a province where all young people realize their full potential.
